Kevin Robinson web developer

Hi, my name is Kevin.
I am a fullstack web developer, here are some projects I enjoyed creating.

I began my web development career in 2018, and am having a great time working up my skills. Programming and designing websites has been fascinating. The puzzles posed and the answers required have really tested my ability to work logically and reduce complex ideas to simple ones. Using the web development processes I have learned has been very satisfying and I look forward to expanding my talents.

In addition to fullstack development, I am also a professional classical guitarist. Playing music is a real joy, and sharing my love of the art form with others is always a wonderful experience. When not playing music I can be caught playing card games, shooting a basketball, reading a book, or collecting CDs.

your brake light is out

Your Brake Light is Out - Full Stack Developer

Help save lives and prevent accidents by ensuring everyone's brake lights work.

A web app that I developed solo for a client, released in 2022. A key aspect of YBLIO is protecting user data. There will be more to build, it is currently closer to an MVP state.

Users are guided through a form wizard to either set up a notification for their own plate or report another. The goal is to know as soon as possible if a brake, tail, or head light is out.

hi-right-now

Hi Right Now - Backend Developer Intern

Empowering communities to form meaningful connections, one 1:1 video conversation at a time

I created a large portion of the app's backend, including the database and API, in addition to frontend work. Much of the complexity in the app is connecting video partners and running events smoothly. Our small and remote team worked together to build a product that had many challenging architectural considerations.

I worked at Hi Right Now in the summer of 2020. The company changed direction in 2021, the app I was involved with is no longer live.

music-book-reviews

Music Book Reviews

A fullstack application for students, parents, and educators to find and review educational music books. The intention of the app is to use detailed input from educators to make clear what a given book contains and how it is or is not valuable. I have often dealt with the frustration of publisher-supplied information being the only source to use when assessing a book and wanted a way for everyone involved in music education to aggregate a knowledge base in a focused manner.

book-bestseller-finder

Book Bestseller Finder

An app that allows the user to find lists of New York Times Bestsellers. The app will then allow a user to see if the book is available in the Harvard library system. This makes use of the New York Times Book API, as well as Harvard's LibCloud API.
